(Okay, this blog post needs background music. Perfect.)
Since I love you all so much and wish you could share in a typical Friday night at Casa Piedra I thought I would recreate it on my blog. Did you cue the cheesy Spanish music? Good.
We all know that my husband could thrive on tapas alone so obviously that is our usual menu. Here is the spread:
So we'll eat and talk for hours and hours. We'll talk about work the past week, weekend plans, dreams of traveling, tapas (did I mention that my husband loves tapas?), politics, the weird dreams that I've been having, Dan's upcoming birthday and all of the funny things he's done on his birthday in the past.
When either the food is gone or one of us is about to burst we'll move to the living room to play a much too competitive game of dominoes. Dominoes usually lasts longer than we plan at our house because we're equally good (or bad) and we both want to keep playing over again until we win. Usually Louie ruins the game (he begs to cheat by seeing our dominoes so we put him on our lap and he mixes all of the dominoes up) and we call it a tie.
Now that we've digested a bit, it's time for something sweet. If it's just the two of us, I'll make smoothies or scoop some ice cream. If you were here, we'd probably have some kind of baked good to offer with tea.
Here is how I look tonight for Friday night tapas.
Yeah, 26/27 weeks and getting uncomfortable. So on top of that music you'll hear me complaining about leg cramps, foot cramps, and back pain.
Any takers?
